To the Editor:
As a resident of Folsom for more than 30 years I would like my fellow residents to understand the opportunity they have to elect two people to council who have the best interest of Folsom as their goal.
Mimi Veneziani and Skip DeStefano have both served on the Folsom Board of Education where they put children first. Their opponent speaks of inexperience on our council as far as budget issues would be concerned.
Mimi and Skip have dealt with budgets at the school that are much larger than the town budget. He also speaks about shared services.
Mimi and Skip were on the school board when they volunteered to be the pilot program for School Choice, saving the taxpayers of Folsom millions of dollars and saving the best thing our town has to offer. A recent article in the Atlantic City Press mentioned Folsom as one of the first Choice Schools and all that such a small school offers its students. Mimi and Skip should be thanked for all their efforts.
Maybe you know Mimi as the teacher at R.E.A.D. Preschool, school board president or met her at a local baseball game.
You know Skip as T-ball Commissioner, school board member, or former member of town council.
I am lucky enough to have sat with them on the school board for more than 10 years.
I call them friends and know that they are the best choice for Folsom Council.
The team of Margaret “Mimi” Veneziani and Lou “Skip” DeStefano are the only choice.
